MOONWALK THROUGH ART
Charity project
By Various artists
Michael Jackson is gone. This news shocked the world on the 25th of June, 2009. And when I say the world I mean the world! From the small Netherlands from where I am writing this introduction to all the other countries on this huge planet. There is no doubt that Michael made an impact in his life and there is definitely no doubt that his loss made as much impact. Michael wasn't just some singer. Most people call him the King of Pop. And all the fans will love his music and his famous moonwalk. But Michael was more than that. He had a message for us: Make this world a better place! And there are a lot of other people who have that same message, but Michael showed us what you can do to achieve it, by doing it himself.
The Guiness World Record book remembers Michael Jackson as the King of Charity.
They have listed the music legend under Most Charities Supported By A Pop Star, with a staggering 39 international organizations. Those are only the known ones however, as Michael was also prone to giving away impulsively and anonymously. He had been known to hand over the proceeds from concerts to local charities and hospitals as he did with the History tour in Bombay, or donate personal items for auctions to raise money for charity.
It’s been estimated he may have given up to $500 million to charity in his lifetime.
In addition to his charity work, Michael had more Guiness world records than any other artist. Michael also had set up his own 'heal the world foundation'.
I was surfing on the internet when I noticed almost every single fan came up with ideas for projects to support charity in the name of Michael. But many ideas also ended there. That is why I started thinking about something. And I came up with the idea to create this book. Michael loved books and Michael loved art.. So it had to be a book about art. Michael loved his fans so I had to give fans the opportunity to be a part of it. And then the last but the most important thing: it had to contain Michael’s messages so they will live on forever. And not only it had to contain his messages but I also wanted it to be a 100% non-profit so the little financial profit I will make out of this will go to charity. One Michael would have loved: a children's hospice. You can find more about the hospice in the back of this book.
So I started to contact fans all over the world with the question: Do you have poems, paintings, drawings, pictures that you want to donate for my project? The results were impressive. And now, finally this book is lying in front of you.
Michael once said: "I love the celebration of music, dance and art. I just love it." So let's celebrate Michael's life, music, dance... and let's celebrate art, because we love it too!
I want to thank all of you for making that change!

Uważam, że ten projekt jest piękny i ktoś włożył dużo wysiłku w JEGO POWSTANIE.
